A seminar on ‘National Budget 2019-20: Opportunities and Restrictions’ was sorted out by the Department of Economics at Stamford University.

This seminar was hung on Thursday (June 27th). Professor of the Department of Economics at Dhaka University Saema Haque Bidisha was available as the main speaker of the seminar.

Stamford University Deputy Vice-Chancellor was available as a special guest and also available Moudud Elahi and Registrar Abdul Matin. All workshops and understudies of the Department of Economics likewise took part in the Seminar.

The Budget details were given by Hasib Bin Mosharaf, a 69th batch student and said thanking the member by Assistant Professor Mohsinul Karim

The Chief Speaker said in his speech that the budget for the fiscal year 2019-20 has been preserved keeping the continuity of the previous budget where implementation is the main challenge.

In spite of the fact that there are some exemplary activities, for example, motivating forces for indigenous businesses, uncommon designation for youth, ostracize protections, settlement support, however with the objective of feasible advancement, there is a requirement for explicit technique for activity and essential changes to address the current difficulties, which are not reflected in this financial limit. .

He said the expansion of Bangladesh is rising, yet it is in charge. Bangladesh is never again reliant on outside obligation. He accepts the nation needs to build interest in the private division and to decrease joblessness.

Other speakers also highlight the unemployment and economic inequality of budget implementation as a difficult challenge. After the ceremony, the chairman of economics department Professor Dr Habibur Rahman. gave the crest to the main speaker.
